Samsung announces the Galaxy S5 mini-- a smaller version of its flagship smartphone featuring most of its bigger sibling's features, including the fitness sensors and device protection features.
It has a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display (the on in the regular S5 is 5.1-inch) and carries a quad-core 1.4GHz processor, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB internal storage (expandable to 64GB), 8MP rear-facing camera and a 2100mAh battery inside IP67-certified casing.
The OS of choice is Android 4.4, and a heart rate monitor, fingerprint scanner and connectivity with Samsung wearable devices are included.
