Power-related accessory maker Anker launches the PowerWave series-- a range of Qi wireless chargers designed for use with the latest iPhones, namely the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X.
Being aimed for use with iPhones means the PowerWave chargers at the Apple-specified 7.5W for faster wireless charging. However the chargers also handle the 10W specification for use with phones featuring faster wireless charging support, such as the Samsung Galaxy S9.
Another feature of the chargers is what Anker claims is a sophisticated cooling system. Typical wireless chargers reduce voltage sent to the device once a certain temperature is reached. The PowerSave chargers use an internal cooling fan to avoid such throttling, meaning charging always takes place at at full speed.
PowerWave chargers come in two flavours-- the self-descriptive Stand or Pad. Both include a Quick Charge 3.0 power adapter and are available now.
