Nomad follows a number of other companies to fill the void following the failure of the Apple AirPower wireless charger with the Base Station Pro, a device able to simultaneously charge three different devices.
The AirPower failed to make to the market after Apple admitted it could manage to achieve its typical "high standards" for the project. Nomad says this is not the case with the Base Station Pro, since it also charge devices without need for exact placement on the pad. To do so it uses an 18-coil matrix and Aira FreePower wireless charging technology to create a single large wireless charging surface with algorithms able to figure out where the devices being charged are.
The Base Station Pro looks very similar to other Nomad wireless charging, with a soft leather surface and a surrounding frame in slate-gray aluminium. It supports wireless charging speeds up to 5W, and also includes a 27W USB-C charger with Power Delivery and a USB-C cable for connection to the charger.
Nomad says the Base Station Pro ships sometime on November 2019.
