December Launch for Next-Gen Surface Pro?

A Microsoft employee revealed the launch date of the next-generation LTE-enabled Surface Pro tablet at the Ignite 2017 conference, Neowin reports-- 1 December 2017.

Surface ProAt the session, Surface Pro program manager Tim Golik said the Surface Pro carries a Snapdragon X16 LTE modem able to work in any country in the world. This means one can buy the Surface Pro with LTE in any country and expect to use data across the globe. However this was the only detail gleaned at the session, and Golik refused to answer questions about a new Surface Book.

The next-generation Surface Pro was initially revealed back in May 2017 at a Shanghai, China event, where Microsoft promised to "show the world what's next." The refresh of the Surface Pro 4, simply named "Surface Pro," promises an upgrade to 7th generation Intel Kaby Lake processors, allowing for improvements on both performance and battery life, as well as a new thermal design for quieter use.

The tablet should be officially unveiled next month at the upcoming Future Decoded event in London, via keynote by Surface chief Panos Panay. Microsoft has no comment on the Neowin story as yet.
