Win 10-Powered NuAns Neo Makes it Westward

Japanese smartphone maker NuAns announces the Neo, a unique-looking Windows 10 smartphone, will be available in European markets following a Kickstarter campaign.

NuAns NeoAlready available in its home Japan, Neo features a somewhat unusual chunky design, with an 11.3mm-thick frame users can customise with up to 64 different snap-on covers in materials such as wood, suede and even ostrich leather. Covers are split in half, meaning users can also mix-and-match colours and materials for an even more custom look.

As for the actual device, specs include 5-inch 720p display, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 13MP rear-facing camera and a 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 617 CPU allowing it to run the much vaunted Continuum feature. It also includes an NFC chip for mobile payments via Wallet app.

Connectivity comes through USB-C port, while a 3350mAh battery promises up to 2 days of use on a single charge.

The Neo should ship from November 2016 following the success of the crowdfunding campaign.
