In the near future Made for iPhone/iPad/iPod (MFi) accessory makers will be able to sell Apple Watch stands and docks with integrated chargers, at least according to anonymous sources speaking with 9to5Mac.
Current Watch docks only allow charging through openings for the official chargers, making for perhaps clunky accessories with grooves or recesses for customers to snake cables through the product. Allowing accessory vendors to make own charging modules would, of course, bypass such design requirements.
However 9to5Mac says the program is still in early stages-- the charging component is apparently only available in "sample quantities" for MFi partners, and so far vendors cannot submit official accessory plans. As such, expect such accessories to only start showing up by end 2015.
